I received this product for free from iOrange-E in return for an honest, unbiased review.I have had this cable for 10 days now and I love it. It is many times better than the little adapters I had before to go on my older cables to make them USB C. This cable comes with many nice built-in feathers and some great not built-in feathers.First, the build quality on this cable is great. I love how stiff the cable is. It makes it so easy to control and with it being braided it feels great.Now the built-in feathers are then you plug your phone into it, it will turn red until the phone is fully charged. Once it is fully charged it will turn green. Also this cable will let my phone charge to 100% which the adapters would only charge my phone to about 96%. When the phone is unplugged it will stay green which I like because it makes it easy to find when I climb into bed at night as this is where I use this cable the most. If you want it to not light up you need to unplug then plug it back in.The reversible USB A side of the cable is a great piece of tech. It has saved me a lot of time when I go to plug the cable into my wall outlet (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OJGBSBQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I can easily make it into it with no problem on the first try in the dark.For the not built-in feathers which are probably from my phone Nexus 6P, when the phone is fully charged and my alarm goes off in the morning it will flash with my phone. It will go red with the vibration of the phone then back to green. This has saved me a few times when I forgot to turn my alarm back up and I woke up to the flashing.Now the only thing I do not like about the cable is not a problem with the cable but my phone. When I am using my phone while it is plugged in it will sometimes flash green then back to red.

This is a very well built cable but it's secret superpowers are the red and green LED lights. While your prized piece of electronics is charging the light shines red, as it gets close to being fully charged it blinks red and then, finally, when it's completely charged and ready to return to you, it glows green. Simple yes, but it's been such a great help to me that I purchased another one and plan on buying a couple more. Why buy a plain cable when you can have one with superpowers?

I have 2 of these.
After unplugging a charged phone, the cord end stays green. If I remove the cord from the charger and plug it back in (with no phone) the cord end is unlit. In both cases there is 0 amps flowing past the connector, so the color should be the same - but it is different. The only way to turn the light off is to remove all power from the cable. I think the light stays on because it senses the minimal amount of power that it takes to rjn the light, and assumes that's a trickle charge.
It's usb C, but sometimes when I pluf my phone in, I get a slow charging message (and the light stays green). I have to turn the cord over, plug it in the other way, then I get a red light and it charges normal speed.

Previously, my last update described the cable having a bunch of issues, such as low power throughput and connectivity issues when using it with a computer or Android Auto in my car. Well, in mid July, the cable finally kicked the bucket and no longer works at all. Sad that I even paid money for this, I've bought other cables that have worked far better than this.

I did have to return this. The micro USB C is different than a standard micro. I did not know there was a difference. Also LED lights would not stay on.. it would flash on once and then flash off. I have the standard micro-usb. That being said I took a good look at it. If I can find one to fit a micro USB, I would probably order another one like this. Even though I had to return it I'm giving it three to four Stars.

Neat concept, the reverseable USB connection (the part that plugs into the charger) shorts out to the metal contacts inside all my USB chargers. The plastic tab in the middle of the connector bends down when inserted into a standard USB port and causes a short circuit which shuts off the charger
