WELCOMEWelcome to the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources Flood Hazard Assessment Tool (FHAT). The FHAT is an informational mapping viewer that displays flood zones. The source of flood zone information contained in the FHAT is FEMA's Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs).
Note: The FHAT does not identify all areas subject to flooding. Individual counties may regulate development in:
- non-Special Flood Hazard Areas where potential flooding may exist; and/or
- to a higher flood risk other than identified on the current effective FIRMs.
Please contact the appropriate county floodplain manager for additional flood hazard maps and/or permitting requirements.
