Symptoms

Assume that you create a management certificate on a local computer, and then you upload it to an Azure subscription. Then, you try to deploy a database to a Windows Azure virtual machine (VM) in the Basic tier of the given Azure subscription. After you specify the given management certificate in the Windows Azure Sign-in page, you may receive the following error message:

Requested value 'Basic_A2' was not found.

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server:

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. We recommend that you download and install the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
