With the re-design of Outlook Groups settings pan arriving for us, two things happened across all Outlook Groups: 1) All former guests are listed as members (not in Teams) 2) I can only add Members - i.e. no new Guests invitations are allowed in Outlook (even for admins) but the sameissue does NOT exist in Teams The first one, though without much affect, is very troubling since we educated our staff to understand the difference between members and guests... We did click through the myriad of settings in the admin-section but cannot find anything. A list of possible triggers would be much appreciated.736Views0likes0CommentsScheduling meetings on behalf group's calendar in desktop app

Hello, Since some people agendas at work are very busy is difficult to set up new meetings when several people are involved. Finding the right slot is painful using the current interface. Yes I can see the busy attendants when provided a given date and hour but that's trial and error. Also, the Scheduling Assistant, the one with the attendants in horizontal and the days and hours in vertical is pretty difficult to use if the agendas are busy. We need a new feature "FIND THE FIRST SLOT AVAILABLE" that providing people, and duration suggests the first time slot where every assistant is free. I think this feature should be accessed from the Scheduling Assistant. I'd like to know the community opinion.1.7KViews0likes5CommentsCómo activar Nuevo Grupo

We are excited to announce that Microsoft 365 Groups now supports more flexible methods of hiding and showing groups in any Outlook client or the address book. Two new properties have been introduced to the Group Resource Type in Microsoft Graph: hideFromOutlookClients and hideFromAddressLists. Previously, these properties could only be changed via PowerShell. We now provide access to these properties via Microsoft Graph, which will help support additional customization through Power Automate and 3 rd party applications. Setting hideFromOutlookClients to True (which also sets hideFromAddressLists to True) prevents the group from showing in the Outlook left-hand navigation, prevents the group name from resolving during message creation, and prevents the group from showing in the Global Address List (GAL). If hideFromOutlookClients is set to False, hideFromAddressLists will also be set to False. Setting hideFromAddressLists by itself controls whether the group is hidden or shown in the GAL, but it won’t affect the Outlook left-hand navigation or name resolution during message creation. Changing hideFromAddressLists by itself does not change the value of hideFromOutlookClients. The default value for both properties is False, and they are only retrieved when using $select. The following example shows how to use the GET method to retrieve values for hideFromOutlookClients and hideFromAddressLists using Graph Explorer. Sample query: https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups/ed8083cb-8540-46f9-b817-46866469695d?$select=displayName,description,hideFromOutlookClients,hideFromAddressLists These values can be updated using methods like PATCH, as shown in the following example: In the response, hideFromOutlookClients is now set to false. Both properties are updated: Updating just hideFromAddressLists will not have any effect on hideFromOutlookClients. You can find detailed API documentation here. As always, we welcome your feedback! I set up a 365 group for my small work team (currently 6 individuals) and gave everyone the same access, but am having some issues. One individual does not see the "Groups" sectionin his Outlookview and cannot access the calendar, but received an email to access the SharePoint files. Another team member can view the calendar but does not see the category tags/colors for the calendar entries. I created categories for "PTO", "Travelling", "Onsite", etc. but in her view everything appears as the same color. Are both issues to do with their personal Outlook settings or with how I set up the group?1.4KViews0likes1CommentO365 Group Calendars not syncing from Outlook to O365 online
I have roughly 30 Group calendars that are constantly being updated by CSRs and Project Managers to update shipping schedules. We are running into the issue where events are entered into Outlook and attachments are added. The event saves fine locally in the users Outlook, but it does not sync to O365 for others to see on their calendars. I've already checked file names and made sure they are acceptable (they are) and when entered in, exactly the same manner, everything works. If I wasn't bald, I'd be ripping my hair out. Can anyone help me with this?1.7KViews0likes1CommentYou can only add individual people from inside or outside your organization
I cannot figure this one out. We have 3 users on different machines with Office Pro Plus (2016) on Windows 7 (fully patched) that cannot add users to O365 Groups through Outlook. They can view, create, and delete groups, but cannot add members to the groups. They get a message saying "You can only add individual people from inside or outside your organization" even though the individuals being added are in the org. We tested this on Win 10 1607 and 1703 with Office Pro Plus and it works there. No issues at all. Has anyone seen something like this?7.5KViews0likes12CommentsGroups - message sorting options in Outlook
Hello all, Has anyone received any complaints from their users about the lack of sorting options in Outlook Groups? My users would like to be able to sort their conversations by subject or sender, and finds it unpractical to use if those types of features are not available. Is this by design? Anything in the works to add more functionality? The only options are a search bar, or the "Find Messages from sender" option when right clicking on a message in the mailbox. Interested to hear what you all think. Thanks! Nick3.4KViews4likes3Commentsaccess office 365 group folder in outlook vba
I am trying to write a macro which would create an appointment in O365 group calendar. I am able to create the appointment if the current folder is the group calender. However, I want the macro to always create the appointment for the group calendar, irrespective of the current folder. I have looked at other posts on accessing shared calendar and other subfolders under default calendar, but I am not able to find anything that works for a group calender. I have tried these things: ' option1 Set calFolder = GetFolderPath("abc@email.com\Calendars\groupname") Set NameSpace = Application.GetNamespace("MAPI") ' option 2 Set calFolder = NameSpace.GetDefaultFolder(9).Folders("groupname") NameSpace.GetSharedDefaultFolder("groupemail", olFolderCalendar) Set Items = calFolder.Items ' option 3 Set Items = Application.Session.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderCalendar).Parent.Folders("groupname").Items In the folder structure it appear like this: My Mailbox -Groups --abc Appreciate any pointers. Thanks in advance! I found this structure for the group I am looking for in the debugger: Namespace | AddressLists | | Item 7 : Name: All groups | AddressEntries | Item 18: Name: abc Is there a way I can use this information to get the folder?3.4KViews0likes0Comments
