Show new email notifications in Teams
Hi I'm trying to show a Teams notification for all new email sent to an M365 Group/Team. This is relatively easy for a distribution list, just add a contact with the channel email address as a member. But it doesn't work to add a contact to the group/team. What is the preferred way to achieve this? I thought this would be easy, but apparently it's assumed that everyone adds the group mailbox to Outlook to get notifications.1.6KViews0likes1CommentArchiving Microsoft 365 Groups (and Teams) with PowerShell
Once Microsoft 365 Groups and Teams reach the end of their useful life, it’s good to archive them so that their data stays online and available for eDiscovery. A recent request looked for help to archive 600 Groups at the end of the academic year. The script described here might help solve the problem. https://office365itpros.com/2020/07/03/archiving-microsoft-365-groups-teams-powershell/944Views0likes0CommentsConnecting Existing Modern Site to Office 365 Group
Hi all - first conversation on the community so please forgive me. I've tried looking into a number of different threads, and I keep coming up short. Here is my situation: I have a SharePoint Online site for our Clients (https://XXX.sharepoint.com/sites/Clients) with sub-sites for each client, in the format: https://XXX.sharepoint.com/sites/Clients/[CLIENT-NUMBER]-[CLIENT-ACRONYM]. So, for example, we have about a dozen sub-sites, such as: https://XXX.sharepoint.com/sites/Clients/5001-VH https://XXX.sharepoint.com/sites/Clients/2005-WD I would like to create a Team in Teams for each of the sub-sites under Clients. I tried that, and realized that I think I have to create an O 365 Group for each of the sub-sites before I can create the Team. I can't figure out how to create an O 365 Group for these existing (modern) sub-sites. (Side-note: I've found a lot of resources for creating an O 365 Group for an existing classic site, but these are already modern sites.) Any advice for me? And, more importantly, what's best-practice? We only have a dozen client sub-sites right now, so I want to get a best practice in place before we have 100.1.1KViews0likes2CommentsOffice 365 write back for hybrid environment

o365 group gets provisioned whenever you request for a MS teams, planner, StaffHub, etc. Is there a way to identify which feature has provisioned o365 group in the background. E.g. creating a MS Team will provision a group in the background, same applies to Planner and so on. I am looking for the classification to define the maintenance strategy. -Deepak3KViews0likes2Comments
