In this article, we will guide you through the steps of using PowerApps Community Portal with part2

Embed External websites content into CFT.

The community forums template has an ability to show content from another website and allows them to show on CFT. The capability does seem to differ based on how that website has coded their Content.

  1. Sign in to Power Apps.
  2. Select Apps from the left navigation pane, and then select the portal.

  1. Select More Commands (...), and then select Edit.

  1. Select try power pages!

  1. Select Pages select the page you want to embed the content (Forum)
  2. Select the (…) then select the iFrame.
  3. Add the external URL

It will now appear on our community portal:

Open an external URL website from the menu bar in CFT!

You can also add an external link to the menu bar that takes you directly to a site. So, when the user clicks on it, it opens an external URL website in another browser window. You can enter a new menu from within the portal:

  • Select the blog menu.
  • click on Edite.
  • select the (+)
  • Fill out the required fields and save.

It will now appear on our community portal:

Adding Company Name or Image Logo in CFT

You can enter a Company name or company logo from within the portal.

  1. Navigate to Contoso LTD and select edit.

  1. Edit the text to CFT.Ltd then click on the highlighted to save it.

  1. Observe that the Logo appears in place of PowerApps in the header.

The selected Logo is applied to your portal.

Using themes in CFT portals.

  1. Sign in to Power Apps.
  2. Select Apps from the left navigation pane, and then select the portal.

  1. Select More Commands (...), and then select Edit.

  1. Select Themes from the left navigation pane, and then turn on the Enable basic theme toggle. Then select any default theme from the available presets (in our example, we selected orange).

The selected theme is applied to your portal.
