It’s undeniable that AI has permeated every aspect of our lives, shaping our world in ways we couldn’t have imagined. In fact, the era before AI could be humorously referred to as BC – ‘Before Chat GPT’!

Once upon a time, Calculators were a huge revolution, and contemporary people were worried about the impact they would have on the intelligence of the student fraternity. Eventually, time proved that worry to be irrelevant. Later, there was a phase when the computer revolution began to rule the world. There was again a hue and cry about the detrimental impact computers would have on the job prospects of youth. As time passed, people understood the importance of technology, and ultimately, it was observed that the computer revolution is making life easy and fast for humanity.

Today, AI is the talk of the town. From Chat GPT to Gemini to Claude, there are countless AI tools in the market, each aiming to simplify our lives. Unlike previous technological shifts, people are not apprehensive about these changes. Instead, they are excited about the new possibilities.

As we walk through the AI highway, we must take steps with caution and understanding. “Just as AI is learning to process and interpret our world, we must also learn new ways of thinking and acting in this AI-driven landscape. To navigate this new terrain, I propose a compass with four cardinal directions—each a new ‘AI’ concept to guide us.”

AI number 1: Accept Inclusion

As the network of technology explodes, the world will become aggressively interwoven in terms of geography, living styles, religion, creed, etc. No longer can we be uniquely defined by our sect or region or country! Today, we use Gmail as an email services provider and log into our smartphones made in one country while the data gets stored in a different nation! In the process of making all this happen in real-time, umpteen people would have contributed to making the process happen, and we never know what faith, colour, or cast those people have been!

Yes, it’s already an inclusive world, and we need to ensure that the AI of “Accept Inclusion” is embedded in our value system strongly.

AI number 2: Accelerate Innovation

Someone asked Laddu Pinto, a dean with a leading technology institution, “How will AI impact our routine life?” Laddu replied, “If it’s routine, it will not be a part of your life anymore. It will be taken over by AI!”

Well, then, how will we survive? Laddu shared a beautiful insight: ” Dear, you will be required to Accelerate Innovation as well as Intuition to stay relevant. You will be able to walk with others tomorrow only when you are running on your path today! Whatever the process, keep the innovation instinct alive, be creative, and keep experimenting with your ideas, always!

AI number 3: Action Items

All talk and no action will ensure your existence is ruled out in your ecosystem. “To-do lists” have already arrived at their obituaries. It’s the world of Action Items and defined timelines. Whatever technology you may use, the project needs a well-crafted list of Action Items; otherwise, it’s just a dream of sorts!

AI number 4: Automatically Inferior

Last but the scariest AI – yes, if you do not upgrade your skills to match with the current requirements, you will become automatically inferior and less preferred or even extinct by the turn of the decade! Hence, keep upgrading and updating yourself. Reinvent yourself every day.

Well, friends, these four AIs, if taken care of well, nothing in this world can stop one from becoming Amazingly Inspirational. One more AI! Eh…
