It’s very competitive out there and things can be chaotic and challenging as a filmmaker. But the kind of professionalism people have here is exemplary and they are extremely serious about their work.”
‘Mumbai helps you to optimize your potential’

Mikhil adds, “I feel that Mumbai helps you to optimize your potential. You meet very different kinds of people from all over the country and the city eventually accepts you. Also, it can completely change your fate. People never judge you in Mumbai and the city is special in every way. The city never sleeps, and everyone is constantly running around and working harder. It pushes you to try and do better. Another thing I love is that people value your time. Even if someone is going to be five minutes late, the person will text you to inform you about it.”
‘I have made a few friends in Mumbai’

It includes the DOPs (director of photography), music directors and writers of my films. When you are working together for 16 hours a day while shooting a film, you become friends. I have also made friends at film screenings.Earlier, my office was at Santa Cruz and I would mostly hang out there, or at Bandra and Juhu. Depending on what you want to eat, you can get amazing options for all kinds of cuisine-be it for street food or fine dine options. For instance, Vile Parle has fabulous options for Gujarati food. Mumbai also has many amazing cafes.
