While the world was locked down in 2020, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone wasn't just staying indoors. She was taking a trip down memory lane! Deepika shared a delightful throwback photo on social media, revealing a past encounter with none other than Aamir Khan from her teenage years.
The picture made everyone laugh as Deepika teasingly scolded Aamir for not sharing any curd rice with her, even though she was starving as a teenager.
Sharing the photo on Instagram, Deepika wrote, “Major throwback to January 1, 2000. I was 13 and awkward. I still am. He was having lunch.Curd rice, to be precise. I was hungry, like I always am. But he didn’t offer, and I didn’t ask. #random #anecdote @_aamirkhan.”

The 'Kalki AD 2898' actor was seen in a black shirt and pants, seated between Aamir and her father, Prakash Padukone. Her mother, Ujjala, is on the far left, holding her younger daughter, Anisha, in her lap. Aamir is sporting the iconic look from his 2001 film, Dil Chahta Hai.
The photo quickly garnered over 550,000 likes within an hour, sparking discussions among fans about Aamir and Deepika’s then-versus-now appearances.

On the work front, Aamir Khan has begun filming his next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, co-starring Genelia D'Souza. Whiel, on the other hand,. Deepika is currently celebrating the success of her recent South Indian release, Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and others and has received positive feedback from audiences. The film has managed to cross Rs 500 crores at the Indian box office and continues to do well. Deepika played Sumati in the movie and incidentally, she was also pregnant in the film and now is in real life.
Looking ahead, she is set to appear in Rohit Shetty's highly anticipated cop drama, Singham Again. Co-starring Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and more, the movie is scheduled to release in theaters on Diwali 2024.
