Randeep Hooda embraces new financial outlook after marriage; says, 'I’ve lost all my money on fast women and slow horses'

Randeep Hooda recently shared that he's rethinking his approach to work, especially since taking on new roles as a married man and film producer. Previously, he believed in letting his work speak for itself without engaging in self-promotion or compromising artistic integrity. However, after directing his first film and marrying Lin Laishram in 2023, just before his directorial debut 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar', he feels the need to reconsider his earlier views, particularly regarding financial matters. Appearing on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, the actor joked, “I’ve lost all my money on fast women and slow horses. The most important thing is whether I’ll be able to tolerate the people who are working on it. But I’ve now decided that I will.” He added, “Before marriage, I was living a carefree life. But now that I’m married and also a director-producer, I’ve learned the importance of money.”

During an appearance on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, the actor humorously reflected on past financial experiences, mentioning losses attributed to indulgences. He emphasized the significance of managing relationships with collaborators in his projects, noting personal growth after marriage and stepping into roles as a director-producer.
He further said, “But there’s a sense of responsibility now, as a producer, as a married man. I’m not alone any more. She also has desires and needs. I’m trying to change my path now. Us jaats have always had a socialist outlook towards money, that it’s ‘wrong’ to make money, but that’s changing over time. And it’s important, because I never paid much attention to it. But now that I am, I’m sure it’ll come.”
Randeep Hooda mentioned in a previous interview that he had sold personal property to finance his recent film, 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. He revealed on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, “My father had saved up and bought two or three properties for me in Mumbai, I let go of them and put the money into the movie. I couldn’t stop. This film didn’t have anybody’s support”.
Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot in November 2023, at Chumthang Sanapung located at Langthabal in Imphal West.
