'Citadel: Diana' Trailer: Matilda De Angelis takes Priyanka Chopra's spy series forward in this slick action-packed Italian espionage drama

A new trailer for 'Citadel: Diana', an Italian spy series set in the world of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden's 'Citadel' debuted online on Wednesday. The series stars Matilda De Angelis alongside an international cast in this thrilling espionage drama directed by Arnaldo Catinari.
Set in 2030 Milan, 'Citadel: Diana' explores themes of loyalty and betrayal as Diana, a Citadel agent embedded in the enemy organization Manticore, teams up with an unexpected ally to secure her freedom.

The official synopsis reads, "Diana Cavalieri (Matilda), an undercover Citadel agent, is trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is to trust the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who’s vying for leadership against the other European families."

With contributions from an impressive lineup of producers and writers, including Gina Gardini and the Russo Brothers, the series promises to deliver gripping storytelling and high-octane action.
The release which is part of the growing 'Citadel' universe, will have six episodes which debut on Prime Video on October 10, 2024.

It will be followed by the release of the Samantha and Varun Dhawan starrer 'Honey Bunny' which is expected to arrive in November.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is expected to resume work on the second season of the global spy series, with the Russo Brothers helming the project.
