UNIDIR and the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention (APMBC) Gender Focal Points, Japan, Netherlands, Peru and Thailand held the interactive meeting “Getting Ready for Siem Reap: A Dialogue with the APMBC Gender Focal Points”.

This meeting provided an opportunity to hear from the gender focal points of the convention about their work and exchange ideas related to the gender and diversity action points of the draft Siem Reap-Angkor Action Plan.

The meeting included presentations from each of the Gender Focal Points, which will be followed by an interactive discussion with diplomats and mine action stakeholders.

The objective of this event was to have an open conversation, bringing together APMBC Gender Focal Points, as well as representatives of APMBC States Parties, civil society and expert organizations on how to advance gender in the upcoming review conference and take stock of gender mainstreaming within the convention but also in the field.
