The following centres are open for scheduled NEXUS split interviews:

3. Two-step interview at participating Canadian and U.S. airports
If you choose the two-step interview, you can start at a Canadian or U.S. airport. However, if you start the interview process at the airport, you cannot complete it at a land enrolment centre.
Canadian interview: Your Canadian interview takes place at a participating Canadian airport enrolment centre. These include:
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ)
- Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG)
- Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
- Calgary International Airport (YYC)
- Edmonton International Airport (YEG)
- Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL)
- Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
- Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW)
To schedule your Canadian interview:

- select an open Canadian enrolment centre location (you will be redirected from the TTP System to the CBSA scheduler)

U.S. interview: You have two options for completing the U.S. portion of your NEXUS interview. You can choose to complete the U.S. interview before your next scheduled flight to the U.S. at a U.S. preclearance location within a Canadian airport or upon arrival at a U.S. airport with enrolment on arrival.
No appointment is needed for the U.S. interview. Tell a CBP officer that you want to complete your NEXUS interview when you enter the U.S. preclearance area or once you arrive at a participating U.S. airport.
To complete your interview at U.S. preclearance, you must:
- ensure the preclearance site is open by consulting CBP's hours of service
- arrive at the airport early
How the interview works
During your NEXUS interview, the CBSA and U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) officers will:
- review the information provided on your application to make sure it is still valid
- verify your identity
- review the original versions of your supporting documents (proof of citizenship, work permits and visas)
- ensure you meet all eligibility requirements for membership
- explain the terms and conditions of the NEXUS program
- take your fingerprints and a picture of your face for your membership card
- explain how to use your NEXUS membership to cross the border by land, air and boat
- inform you that you may be subject to an inspection any time you enter Canada or the U.S.
Note After your interview, check the Trusted Traveller Programs System for updates regarding your application status. Approved applicants can expect to receive their card within 4 to 6 weeks.
