I waited over 10 years for a sequel. Dragons dogma was one of my favorite games second only to Skyrim. The graphics on Xbox are great and I love the combat. The sorcerer class has some sick spells. I spent countless hours on it. I even collected all the seeker tokens. I’ve just about finished my second play thru and I’m sad to put it down. If I had to nick pick something I’d say they could have had more romance options, but then again this isn’t the Witcher. 5/5

This is a sequel to a game I hadn't played, which is fine. The story is stand alone and pretty good. The game is a flawed masterpiece right out of the box, though updates post-release have addressed most of the technical problems related to the frame rate. The story is good, the missions are fun. This version if particular is accessible to gamers who want a solid RPG, though some of the missions are virtually impossible without a guide or a handy YouTube video to help guide the way. I would have loved a more polished version right out of the box (which is why a perfect score is not possible for me). But for those playing with the patches, it's a great game.

Dragons Dogma 2 lives up to every expectation I had for it after investing countless hours into it's predecessor!! Most definitely worth the buy!

I bought this and Rise of The Ronin and I kept that game but sold Dragon's Dogma 2. Rise of the Ronin actually has mechanics that save the player time and frustration and Dragons Dogma 2 just is not made with enough care to respect your time. I do not get why people like this series because they are both the same thing for the most part. Hell, this game's title flash just says Dragons Dogma and not Dragons Dogma 2 when you clear the prologue.

To make a long review short, I just could not get over that bad optimization and the combat. The game is not optimized well and dreamed too big with what they could do with the RE engine. It can't handle open world games. With combat, there is no lock on mechanic and that will be a problem. Especially if you play the thief class. Plus the enemies just feel spongey and I got very little satisfaction from this game because of the battle mechanics.
