Paris Fashion Week is an international event that showcases dreams to their fullest potential. A true destination for the world’s finest haute couture. Amidst all of this, a new global star has been added to this dazzling lineup: Deepti Sadhwani. Fresh from her Cannes debut, the actor-singer seamlessly transitioned to Paris Fashion Week, proving that her star is shining brighter than ever.
With the afterglow of Cannes still on her, the buzz around her Cannes journey was still growing when she started preparing for Paris Fashion Week (we love to see dedication). It was an array of outfit fittings, jewellery sourcing, shoe shopping—all the fun stuff. But amidst all of this, we all know how nerve-breaking it is to attend a fashion week, let alone Paris Fashion Week, but she handled it most amazingly, putting her best fashion foot forward. Deepti shared, "Walking down the red carpet during the opening ceremony was truly special. It was my debut, and I felt immense love from the French media and actors from different countries." Regarding her preparation for Paris Fashion Week, Deepti said, "The prep was in full swing, and there was much to do. We started preparing 2-3 months in advance, focusing on outfits, jewellery, footwear, and accessories. I was particularly excited about this Paris Fashion Week, as haute couture was my favorite. I showcased a mix of Indian and international designers."
Her journey from the silver screen to the fashion world was very smooth. The actress-singer explained that while Cannes is all about glamour, Paris Fashion Week is about pushing your boundaries and making statements. She said, "Cannes is about films, while Paris Fashion Week is about fashion. At Paris Fashion Week, your outfit must often align with the designer's show you're attending. Unlike Cannes, it's a high-fashion event where long and heavy gowns with trails are common."
Beyond the glamorous world of fashion, Deepti has a very down-to-earth approach to fashion. Her everyday styling is as chic as her looks for fashion weeks, but we must say it’s more relatable, and we absolutely love that. Deepti shared about her earlier days in fashion: "I loved to style myself, whether I was going out with friends, to dinner, or even to yoga or the gym. Depending on my mood and the occasion, I focused on the shoes, purse, and outfit. To stay grounded and focused, I practiced breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, workouts, boxing, and swimming." As we were speaking to her, we understood how her future vision grew stronger than it is right now. She said, "I aim to launch my own fashion clothing line. Attending shows and events helped me understand what people want and the dynamics of the fashion industry. My future projects included Paris Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and potentially even the Met Gala. We definitely cannot wait for Deepti to take over the fashion world because it’s so exciting to see new talent brimming in our country, showcasing unwavering determination.
