About this event
Join Sell It Great's Ben Levy for a Presentation Skills Workshop Series that kicks your team's presentation and selling skills into high gear.
There are three pillars you have to master in order to sell your great work that works:
• Decide exactly what should be shared with your audience in the most compelling way possible. Leave the kitchen sink at home. Unless you’re pitching kitchen sinks, of course.
• Deliver that story to your audience in the most compelling way possible. Which parts do you show on slides? Which parts do you speak to? And how do you create an engaging, two-way dialogue?
• Defend your work appropriately. This means keeping cool under pressure. Knowing how to respond when you don’t have the answer. And being able to handle push back, enlarged logo requests, and even the most dreaded of all responses: “I hate this.”
This Presentation Skills Workshop Series contains three 90-minute learning sessions:
Session 1: The Story that Always Wins - Thursday, September 19th @ 9:00am ET
With so many departments involved, pitches can feel like a case of too many cooks in the kitchen. This workshop answers questions like “Who says what?” “How much time do we each get?” and “Wait- what’s the point of this meeting anyway?” By the time it’s over, your agency will have a single road map that every department can follow to reach the goal: selling the work.
• How to find “the purpose” of each pitch meeting
• The only four questions your pitch needs to answer
• How to ration time and share the spotlight
• Exercises to turn theory into practice
Session 2: Stop Reading Slides - Thursday, October 31st @ 9:00am ET
Why a deck is not the same as a presentation (and why that’s such an important detail). The most common pitfalls when presenting work. Plus, the two-deck solution to winning inside and outside of the meeting.
• Reconsidering the role of slides aka the return of the visual aid
• Best practices for sharing different types of creative work
• How to create two presentations for the effort of one
• Rebuild your slides live- I promise this is more fun than it sounds
Session 3: Turning Presentations into Conversations - Thursday, November 21st @ 9:00am ET
Want your clients to stop going on mute, or turning off their cameras? This workshop will introduce you to the power of questions, the importance of listening to your audience, and the difference between presenting and public speaking.
• The way most agencies kill engagement
• The key difference between a speech and a presentation
• How to get and keep your clients engaged
• When, where, and how to ask questions
