Tech Behind Fallout's Memorable Monster
A standout moment in Fallout featured the gulper, a disturbing creature blending human and salamander traits. Its creation involved intricate muscle and skin systems and flesh deformation. By utilising complex rigging and dynamic CFX, we were able to craft a creature whose disturbing realism will stay with players long after they've left the game.
Putting Unreal at the heart of a new VFX pipeline
Supervisor Theo Jones and CG Supervisor Nèstor Prado discuss the process and practicalities of establishing the FUSE pipeline, and how it was used to bring the award-winning short film FLITE to life.
