Gazi Shbaikat,

Gazi Shbaikat is the IMF Resident Representative for Iraq and Yemen since January 2021. Previously, Mr. Shbaikat worked as Economist and Senior Economist in several countries in the Middle East and Central Asia Department in the IMF since 2010. Between 2006-2009, Shbaikat worked in the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Minister of Labor, Secretary General for the Ministry of Labor, and as Head of the Department of Statistics. He started his career in the Central Bank of Jordan. Mr. Shbaikat holds a master’s and Ph.D. in Economic from the US. His research interests at the Fund include fiscal and monetary policies as well as labor market policies.

Subsequently, she assumed roles as a middle office analyst and senior financial economist at the Central Bank of Jordan. Further enhancing her expertise, Farah has joined the IMF Resident Representative Office in Amman since 2021, serving as a proficient economist focused on Iraq and Yemen. Her professional passions span across diverse domains including banking, monetary policy, international reserves, public finance management and spending review, climate change, and sustainable green financing.

Bisan Saadeh ,

Bisan Saadeh is the Administrative Assistant at the IMF’s Resident Representative Office for Iraq and Yemen in Jordan since Nov 2012. She has won “Divisional Spot Award 2018” from Chris Jarvis, the Division Chief of Bisan Saadeh Division B for providing top notch assistance to the Iraq team in their meetings with the Iraq authorities in Amman. Previously, she has worked as Business Development Coordinator in TECHNO Industrial Group, and Administrative Assistant in Saddle Engineering Technology. Bisan holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Applied Environmental Geology from University of Jordan and a diploma in Information Technology.
