Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional, has awarded US$940,000 in college scholarships to 47 of its employees’ children in North America.

Each recipient earned a scholarship valued at up to $20,000, or $5,000 per school year, for full-time education at accredited colleges and universities. Recipients were selected based on their leadership, work experience, academic achievement, and involvement in extracurricular activities.

The scholarships are part of Kimberly-Clark’s Bright Futures program, which has awarded more than $47 million in scholarships to more than 2,300 students since its launch in 1994.

“This class of Bright Futures students have shown great commitment both to their academics and service within their community,” said Russ Torres, Kimberly-Clark North American group president. “We are honored to support these students and look forward to seeing them excel in their pursuit of higher education.”
