Exciting Opportunity for a Certification Customer Service Team Member (Remote, US)

The Open Group (www.opengroup.org), a global consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through technology standards, leads the development of open, vendor-neutral technology standards and operates the industry’s premier certification service, which promotes and supports the adoption of these standards in the market.

We are recruiting a Certification Customer Service Team Member (US based) to join our Certification Team. This person will provide virtual customer service and support for The Open Group product and process certification programs. This role reports to the Director of Certification and will interact with colleagues in the certification, finance, legal, and business development teams.

Responsibilities:
•    Follow documented processes to guide customers through the certification process
•    Assist customers with inquiries and resolve issues via email
•    Provide accurate information on certification services and policies
•    Maintain a high level of professionalism 
•    Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
•    Provide timely responses to customer issues
•    Escalate issues to team members when necessary

Qualifications:
•    Excellent written communication skills
•    Customer-focus mindset
•    Computer proficiency with the ability to navigate several systems
•    Ability to work independently in a remote setting
•    Problem solving skills and attention to detail
•    A desire to learn and develop

Requirements:
•    US Citizen or Permanent Resident
•    Reliable high-speed internet connection
•    Dedicated workspace at home
•    Proficient in office software

Preferences:
•    Understanding of a certification process
•    Previous remote work experience
•    Experience in a customer service role
•    Experience with helpdesk software and a customer relationship management system
•    Experience interacting with an international customer base
•    Experience within an industry consortium or trade association
