Today, the EC's Ben Prochazka and Anne Blair attended President Biden's announcement of $3 billion in grants as part of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Ports Program at the Port of Baltimore. Upon this announcement, the EC is excited to launch evPORT, a new online procurement portal for electric vehicles and port equipment. BIG NEWS! Today, at an event at the Port of Baltimore, President Joe Biden is announcing $3 billion in grants under the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Ports Program, which will fund electric cargo handling equipment and drayage trucks, charging infrastructure, shore power, solar arrays, battery storage, and other enabling technology to reduce emissions at ports. Accompanying this announcement, the EC and Sourcewell are excited to launch evPORT—a one-stop online portal that saves ports time and money procuring EVs and port equipment, charging infrastructure, and related services. evPORT also offers innovative financing options, best practices, and other electrification resources. https://lnkd.in/gu67gVAQ
