    Klarna will soon be offered as a default payment method by Worldpay, the 3rd-largest merchant acquirer in the world.🎉 This expanded partnership will accelerate the growth of our global network of 85 million active customers and 600,000 merchants. 📈 To continue to build the commerce network for the next generation, we’re doubling down on partnerships with payment processing giants like Worldpay which processes $2.3tr-worth of payments for over a million merchants globally. 🎉 A key pillar of our strategy is to transform Klarna from an ‘alternative’ to a default method of payment, meaning when businesses sign up to accept payments, Klarna will be a standard choice, just like Visa or Mastercard. 💳 This collaboration is a huge leap towards achieving our mission: Klarna on every checkout, everywhere, for everything. 🌍

    🌍 Exciting News: New Projects Added to Milkywire's Nature Transformation Fund. In Jill Raval’s latest article, she officially welcomes five initiatives into the Nature Transformation Fund (NTF), a strategic partnership with Klarna, expanding our focus on marine and freshwater ecosystems, innovative financing, and community empowerment. These projects are working to protect vital ecosystems while creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/d6uWV7HQ Here’s a quick look at the projects: Rare is creating five community-led marine conservation areas in Indonesia through the world’s first Small-Scale Fisheries Impact Bond. NTF funding supports formalizing the boundaries of these areas and ensuring sustainable fisheries management. Blue Alliance Marine Protected Areas is restoring coral reefs across 600,000 hectares in Indonesia by linking Marine Protected Areas with sustainable businesses. NTF funding helps prepare these businesses for investment, benefiting local communities. EarthAcre is generating carbon and biodiversity credits on community-managed lands in Kenya. NTF funding will provide direct cash payments and contribute to the development of a platform to manage payments, promoting sustainable land use. Conservation Finance Alliance’s incubator supports innovative conservation finance solutions globally. NTF funding will go towards the incubator’s third round. Indian Institute for Human Settlements is aiming to restore urban lakes and wetlands in Bengaluru to improve water security. NTF funding supports restoration planning and long-term monitoring.     🌍 Since day one, Klarna has proudly supported Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund (CTF) through funds generated from our internal carbon fee. Klarna’s support to the CTF is backing innovative solutions that are key to achieving global net-zero. Since 2021 Klarna has invested over $7.0M supporting 49 projects across 27 different countries. The fund has grown from having Klarna as its sole corporate partner in 2021, to having partnered with 22 companies. In the 2024 CTF Progress Report, Milkywire showcases the impressive achievements made across the fund's three pillars: durable carbon removal, nature protection and restoration, and decarbonization. Their report is testament to the fact that what we’re doing is paying off. We are excited to continue driving lasting, positive climate impact through the CTF.
