Congratulations to Todd Austin, S. Jack Hu Collegiate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan, on receiving the 2024 B. Ramakrishna Rau Award. Recognized for his contributions to microarchitecture, performance analysis, and secure computing, Austin’s work has left a lasting impact on computer architecture, from developing SimpleScalar, an essential tool for computer system modeling, to groundbreaking advancements in processor security with his Morpheus project.
