Edit an Accelerate campaign

After you create an Accelerate campaign, you might want to adjust your campaign’s settings or ads to optimize performance. You can edit your campaign’s budget, schedule, audience signals, conversions, or ads. You can’t change the objective or ad format after a campaign has been launched.

If your Accelerate campaign is still optimizing, we recommend that you avoid making changes to your campaign’s audience, bid amount, or bidding strategy.

Important to know

We’re gradually releasing Accelerate, our AI-powered campaign type, and you might not have access to it at this time. 

Who can use this feature?

You must have super admin, content admin, or Sponsored Content poster access on your ad account's Page and campaign manager access or higher on your ad account to edit an Accelerate campaign.

To edit an Accelerate campaign:

  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

  3. Select the correct campaign group on the Campaign groups tab. 

  4. On the Campaigns tab, move your cursor over the campaign name and click  Edit

  5. Scroll to the section that you want to update:

    • Campaign details - Click Edit to change the campaign name.
    • Budget & schedule - Click Edit to change the budget, schedule, or bidding strategy.
    • Audience signals - Click Edit to add or remove audience signals.
    • Ads - Click an ad to preview it. You can edit or delete ads by clicking the [horizontal ellipses]  More icon to the right of the ad. Click the Create ad dropdown menu to create a new ad or to browse your existing content to select from your Page’s posts and previously created ads.
    • Placements - Click Edit to exclude categories of mobile apps and sites where you don’t want your ads to appear or to add a custom list of publishers to control where your ads should or shouldn’t appear.
    • Conversion tracking - Click Edit to create new conversions or add existing conversions to your campaign. You can also access instructions on how to install the Insight Tag if you haven’t added it to your website.
  6. Click the Save & exit button in the lower-right corner.

After you edit your campaign, it might re-enter the optimization phase which allows Accelerate to learn how to best optimize your campaign.
