Lead Gen Forms are templates that you can attach to a single image, carousel image, video, message, document, or conversation ad to collect information from the member if they click on the call-to-action button. The form is automatically filled with the member’s contact and profile information.

Form image - Recommended image size is 552px by 200px. If you choose not to upload or select a custom image, the image will either default to the ad image (for single image ads only) or the company page image (for all other ad types).

Form name - Can't be blank. Use up to 256 characters to name your Lead Gen Form. The form name is only displayed in Campaign Manager.

Language - If the campaign language is English or simplified Chinese, the form language must match the campaign language. For all other campaign languages, the form language can either be English or match the campaign language.

Headline - Can't be blank. Use up to 60 characters.

Details - Use up to 160 characters.

Profile information - Select up to 12 profile demographic question fields. First name, Last name, and Email address are automatically selected, but you can unselect them if required. Note: To create a form, at least one predetermined or custom question is required.

Custom questions (optional) - Add up to three optional Custom questions. Each field has a maximum of 100 characters.
- Custom questions count toward the 12-question maximum for your form.
- Custom questions are required fields that a member needs to answer to submit the form.
- Fields are supported by most marketing automation/CRM partners.
- Multiple choice questions allow members to choose from a list of answers you define.
- Single line text questions allow members to enter a free-text answer.

Privacy policy URL - Can't be blank and must start with http:// or https://. Use this field for a webpage that describes your company's privacy policy and what you'll do with the information a member chooses to submit to you.

Privacy policy text (optional) - In the text field use up to 2,000 characters to explain how you’ll use the member’s data and link to your company's privacy policy.

Disclosure checkboxes - Add up to five disclosure checkboxes, which will show up at the bottom of the form. Use up to 500 characters per checkbox.

Message - Can't be blank. Use up to 300 characters to write a thank you message to members who submit a response to the Lead Gen Form.

Confirmation CTA - Choose a call-to-action from the dropdown menu. The call-to-action selected will link to the landing page URL.

Landing page URL - Can't be blank, can be up to 2,000 characters, and must start with http:// or https://. Use this field to provide a landing page to members who submit a response to the Lead Gen Form. If you linked to a whitepaper or other virtual asset, you can include an ungated link so members can access it. LinkedIn doesn't automatically send any assets to members.

Hidden fields - Add up to 20 additional fields to your form for tracking purposes. Keep in mind that hidden fields won’t show to members when they view your form or collect any additional personal data about the submitting member.

Field names - Customize the field name to change how your field and response names appear when you download or sync leads.
