A somewhat more rosy picture than expected in this survey (US market). With the economic outlook improving and some of the fears over interest rates and recession receding clients have opened up their wallets in 2024 and 2025 is looking reasonably optimistic. With a third of our business in the US this aligns with our view of the market. A few interesting nuggets. 1) The return of sound on due to the rise of TikTok and Reels. Great news for broadcast loving brands who've been frustrated by sound off in the digital space. Maybe not so good for premium open web publishers? 2) CTV spend is on the up. A combination of falling CPM's (Netflix over 50% less than initial go-to-market pricing) + quality/brand safe environments + big screen is a compelling combination. 3) Retail Media is hot and spend is up, but it's not all good news. As more competitors enter the space, competition for brand $$$ is increasing. Costs are high and measurement is generally closed loop. As always when a sector starts to explode and with that costs questions get asked about the impact on the bottom line.
