Senior Accountant- Management Company

A global provider of coordinated fund services to Private Equity and Credit fund sponsors. This team services General Partner clients with over $90bn in Assets under Management.

The organization has five offices globally and is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its New York Management Company Accounting team (corporate accounting)

Job Responsibilities

• Support multiple clients with all aspects of Management Company Accounting
• Calculate and record Revenues and Expenses as appropriate
• Allocate and process client payables
• Prepare closing calendars and meeting agendas
• Reconcile bank statements
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare client workbooks to support financial statements
• Support annual audit & 1099 processes for clients
• Attend client meeting as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2-6 years’ Experience preferably at Alternative Asset Management firm
• Solid understanding of accounting close cycle and underlying processes & concepts around General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and T&E
• Proficient in accounting systems; prior experience with Sage Intacct a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Desire to support external clients and ability to work on multiple client engagements concurrently
• Outgoing personality with a strong team and firm first mentality
• Desire to learn and progress professionally

Onsite Requirements: Hybrid / in office up to three days per week in NYC
