Reframe the narrative

- If someone were to open a book and read your life story written by you, what would they learn? What is the narrative you are telling about yourself? Traumatic incidents have a way of disrupting our history, and for many of us, that feels like it's where our story ends. We suffered a trauma, period, But that's not even 1% of your story. Your story is so much more expansive, nuanced, and layered than that. So let's take a moment to reframe a story you may have been holding onto to the story you will now reclaim. So think for a moment of one part of your story that you've been telling others that may be weighing you down. You can decide what this story is, something small or something big, something that brings up strong emotions. Or maybe today you want to choose something that feels accessible and workable.
