From the course: Hands-On Introduction: Python

Learn Python by doing

- [Ronnie] It seems like Python is everywhere you look these days. It's used by giants like NASA, Google, and Microsoft. It's used by cool disruptive startups. Python powers huge applications and helps automate small tasks. What's great about Python is that it's extremely approachable and yet very capable at the same time. I'm Ronnie Sheer and I've been developing with Python and teaching it for nearly a decade now. Welcome to my course, where we learn Python by doing. We'll start with the basics, such as scope and control flow. Then we'll move on to formatting and processing data. After that, we'll create a small web application, until finally you'll have the tools to get and create great value using this exciting programming language. Python is both concise and fun, so let's get to it.
