From the course: Leveraging AI in Adobe Photoshop and Creative Cloud

Welcome to the age of artificial intelligence

- Hi, and welcome to the Age of Artificial Intelligence. If you're a Creative Cloud user, if you're an all-around graphic designer, photographer, an illustrator, there is a very high chance you will have already used artificial intelligence, or machine learning, fueled features and functionalities within your favorite Adobe software. And the thing is, you will probably not even notice that whatever feature you're using is driven by AI or a machine learning model. Now, we've seen three massive evolutions, or should I call them revolutions, in the world of graphic design. And in Creative Cloud, specifically, these last couple of years, things have really changed for us. Now, first of all, we've seen a very big increase in tools in Creative Cloud that are driven or fueled by artificial intelligence and machine learning allowing you to do things faster or better. Now these tools help you facilitate, or even automate, very specific tasks that would normally cost you a lot of time. Think about Content-Aware Fill in Photoshop for a second. So many of us have been using this feature for many years now, and we would almost forget that it is AI in the background that helps us fuel that feature and gives us the result that we now see today. The second evolution is the rise of powerful design tools for non-designers, for example, Adobe Express. Now you might think, "What does Adobe Express have to do with artificial intelligence?" Well, let's think about auto styling for a second. Auto styling for matching fonts and colors, or how about any of the quick tools that come with Adobe Express that allow you to automatically remove the background from a picture? By opening up these AI tools via the interface of a simple web browser, you can have people who didn't go to design school for two or three years and still create powerful designs using a very simple interface and a template-based system. The last evolution is generative design. This allows you to use a simple text prompt to create any image that you want, for example, using Adobe Firefly. Now, at the time of this recording, Adobe Firefly is still in a public beta. But it still allows you to create images based on a text prompt, create your own text effects, by, again, just simply inputting and describing what you want or by dynamically recoloring vector graphics. Now there's a lot more functionality on its way, but today we're going to focus on Adobe Sensei, which drives all of the AI features that come out of the box when you install Adobe Creative Cloud. Let's take a look.
