Adventures in Dog Sitting
This week our household turned upside down with the simple act of dog-sitting. Yep, one very happy, loveable, 15-year-old blue heeler mix walked into our home on Monday evening and has absolutely disrupted the normal rhythms of our daily existence. We have gone from scheduling networking meetings and attending dinner with friends to texting about who is going to walk the dog and reviewing schedules to ensure no “accidents” occur. I was concerned about the welfare of the dog at the same time concerned about dedicating enough to the work experience. A regular flip flop of mental energy per se. The week has been a true test of flexible work arrangements, patience, and scheduling capabilities. Moreover, it is a true validation of the complications around work life harmony.
