As a #resume creator, I think these are great tips shared here. Please note: while adding metrics to your resume do not geuss numbers or percentages. In the interview you will be asked questions that makes you defend the same numbers. Hence, if you lied, that will be a disaster. LinkedIn: I'm breaking down the #resume that got me interviews at top companies coming from a non-target school & without any connections, Pt. 2. To continue this series - I'm on a mission to help an underdog land a job a day so will continue doing this for the next few weeks. This is for those especially from non-traditional backgrounds who wish they learned this information early on (wish I did!). Pt. 2 is about metrics, which are highlighted in light green. As you can tell from my resume (use this template on ResumAI by Wonsulting for free: https://bit.ly/3P7VCP7), I did the following: 💡Added a mix of numbers and percentages; I did my best to include at least 1 metric that related directly to the responsibility I did to show how I made an impact in my role. 💡If I didn't know the metric related to the impact, I would do either of the following: 1) ask my peers or manager for what these metrics were or 2) make an estimate based on my own research (Note: Do not lie about this; if you don't know the numbers, you don't have to include them) 💡I identified where to add numbers by asking myself this question on each bullet: "did you make an impact & if so, can you quantify that impact?". If the answer was yes, I would include a metric accordingly. Note: I moved my education closer to the bottom because that is typically where it's suppose to be placed after graduating 1+ years out.
