There are two types of Marketers on LinkedIn. (Non-Founders) 1. The ones who know their area of work, and it is reflected in their body of work. Many-a-times, you don't even know these people because they sit in silence and execute. 2. The second variety, however... You read their posts on LinkedIn, then see the Head of Marketing/Brand Comm etc in their bio and wonder ki jab itna jaantey ho toh jahaaan kaam kartey wahaan kyun nahi apply kartey ise?

Many misunderstand the essence of outreach. Their eyes are on the prize of securing a meeting. And sure, landing a meeting matters. But here's what often slips through the cracks: Executing an outreach initiative is fundamentally about building awareness. Guiding your intended audience from not knowing. To knowing. In the realm of marketing, we talk about the rule of 7. This rule stems from the marketing axiom that people need to encounter your brand a minimum of 7 times before they decide to make a purchase. So, how does this translate to cold outreach? Not every message should aim straight for a meeting. Here's where you can weave in messages rich with insights. The "Did you know?" kind of content. Emails that don't push for action but serve purely to educate. Just like the rule of 7, consider the journey you're taking cold prospects on, from unawareness to awareness, through the content you share.

LETS TALK ABOUT VISIBILITY TODAY☺️ What is VISIBILITY? This is simply defined as the ability to see or be seen. Mind you the Context of this definition is in line with Digital Marketing. 📌For you to be a digital marketer you must be Visible. You need to be visible for your potential customers to see you📌 How to be Visible should always be your utmost concern. 📌If you must be a digital marketer you must also be a Social Media person. Often times I hear people say oh I don’t like people seeing me oh I don’t like people seeing me every and anywhere oh I don’t like people knowing everything about me. That is very good and your way of life but you are definitely not going to be a good digital marketer if you are not seen. WHY YOU NEED TO BE VISIBLE HEAR the simple truth👌 📌Maybe they don’t even do it as well as you do, but it doesn’t matter because they are out there and you’re not😉. Are you surprised…continue in your comfort zone. 📌It’s not enough to be great at what you do. You need to use marketing and personal branding to let people know. If you don’t tell your story nobody will know you exist Every single day that you don’t decide to build a brand and your business is a day that somebody else will. Visibility is your RESPONSIBILITY. 📌Being visible can lead to new business and new opportunities such as media interviews, invites to speak at conferences and write articles and leadership roles. So many of us don’t do these things because we are perfectionists, we don’t feel ready or we are busy, but at the end of the day, it’s all excuses. But we’re never going to be fully ready or comfortable doing these things. 📌Action is better than No action. Every time you do something that pushes you out of your comfort zone, you become better at it. 📌So commit to doing it today. 📌Remember it doesn’t matter how good you are at what you do if nobody knows about it! You are right. With digital marketing, most of the things are trackable. Website visits, followers, impressions, sources of traffic, time spent on site, and more.  I am a big fan of tracking because it helps you improve, optimize, and do course corrections as needed. But…  It is always a good idea to look at softer qualitative aspects that may not be obviously visible but make a humongous impact. For instance –  When you meet people in the offline world, do they tell you that they are reading your posts on LinkedIn? Has the quality of people applying for open positions in your organization improved? When you talk to the prospects, do they tell you that they have heard about your company before? When you attend an event, do people say, “Oh, you are the one posting on Twitter”? Do your employees wholeheartedly engage with the content posted on the company handles because they are proud of their association with the company? Are more relevant people visiting your booth at an exhibition? Do your prospects perceive you as a “premium brand”? Do your customers feel confident about recommending your brand to others? Digital brand building is more nuanced than what is measurable quantitatively. Visits, likes, and followers don’t tell the whole story. My favorite "Personal branding" advice: There is a reason why it's called "PERSONAL brand" and "SOCIAL media". You have to be you and highlight the unique things you have as a person. You have to socialize with others, that's why it's called social media and not “post media”.
