I GOT A JOB!!!!!!! I have been waiting so long to shout this and feel good about it, and now I can! I finally get to remove the #opentowork banner, I finally get to stop stressing over what is going to happen to my career and just focus on the future! Recently I let go of the past thinking that the old life I had, my dream job I lost thanks to covid would one day come back to me and I realised in this case if you are not wanted, then you are not deserved. But now, I am so so so happy and excited to say I will be joining a fantastic company on Monday as a Personal Assistant and I cannot wait to start! I also just want to say a special thanks to two people, one who helped land me this role Michelle Alexandra Roscoe and one who has been a massive support throughout lockdown Anna Howard. If you are looking for work I highly recommend reaching out to these two, they are great at what they do and super supportive in so many ways I couldn't thank them enough!! How Covid has HELPED ME.. Instead of talking about the negatives or how Lockdown/Covid has negatively affected me I wanted to share how it has helped me. Yes I lost my dream job, yes I am still searching for a new role. But I have used all this spare time I suddenly have wisely. I studied and gained my Level 2 diploma in Business & Admin and my Level 7 Diploma in Executive PA. I also did something I never thought I would, I started my own YouTube channel. I'm not expecting this to turn into anything, I am very much passionate about having a career as a PA. But this is a hobby I picked up and would love to share. The Sims 4 is it's a life simulation video game. One of the best things about it is the creative freedom to create, design and furnish homes, anyone who knows me well knows I love all things home decor! In my last role I was fortunate enough to be able to create and design product packaging and I taught myself how to use Photoshop in order to do this. This time I taught myself how to create and edit videos. They're not perfect but as my skills improve I'm sure my videos will too. Here's one I uploaded this morning! Wow what a day!! Monday I woke up to to an email inviting me to a Zoom Interview. Immediately this put me in a good mood, considering these difficult times, the market has been so quiet and so I am grateful for any opportunities I can get my hands on. Little did I know that throughout the day I would receive 3 MORE INVITES! That's 4 initial/first stage interviews booked all in for today, 2 done and two more to go! After feeling so deflated and defeated for so long, I finally have something to feel positive about! Hopefully soon it will be my turn to shout "I got the job!" #opentowork #personalassistants #executiveassistant #pa

Three months into lockdown and I am half way through completing my Level 2 in Business & Admin, I have gained some new skills whilst teaching myself how to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and redecorated a spare room in my humble abode.. I had to walk away from my dream job, a role I genuinely thrived in, woke up happy every single day excited for the day ahead at work all thanks to this pandemic. Three months into lockdown, and although it's hard, I still have hope that one day I will find a new role in which I will be just as happy in. Please, to anyone in my network who are recruiting or know of any Personal Assistant roles available in London I would very much appreciate your help!
