Providing services: Business Law, Bankruptcy Law, Corporate Law, Labor and Employment Law

    Chicago, IL

Summary: I am a commercial litigation and bankruptcy attorney with extensive global business and banking experience. My engagements have included business owners, investors, entrepreneurs, creditors, debtors, trustees, and commercial lenders in complex commercial disputes. Difficult situations are my game. Recently, I have decided to share these experiences and insights by becoming an assistant professor of law at the University of Toledo College of Law. My 30+ years in banking, business, and law means uncommon problem-solving for my clients and partners. I am great to work with and bring a sense of humor to often difficult situations. Think of me as a doer, instigator, and enabler for teams and organizations. Good things happen when I'm involved. A key to appreciating my value is that my professional experience spans two careers: 1) banking and business and 2) law. This gives me an incredibly rich background in bankruptcy; restructuring; cross-border asset recovery; commercial litigation; business and securities law; loan workouts; credit and loan transactions; software development; cloud and hosted (SaaS) applications; global trade; supply chain; supply chain finance; transportation; logistics; trade compliance; marketing; finance; business development; project management; and general business management. ------- Specialties: The Supreme Court of Illinois does not recognize certifications of specialties in the practice of law, and I do not hold myself out as a specialist. However, I concentrate my practice in the following areas: commercial litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, debtor and creditor representations, banking and loan transactions, and cross-border restructuring. Attorney advertising and disclaimer: Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
