Summary: After high school, I started my secondary education at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018 with the intent to graduate in 3-4 years with a bachelor's degree in Finance. At the end of my first semester, I managed to obtain a full-time internship opportunity with Northwestern Mutual, one of the leading financial advising companies in the U.S. I also played an active role in campus extracurriculars, continued with my full-time student schedule, and started projects with financial associates in Florida. The fear and doubt I possessed when life circumstances led me to drop out of school and move to a new state with my family just two months later was nearly incapacitating. There was no way of knowing at the time, but the five years since leaving university have been the most transformative years of my life thus far. In those five years, I was able to explore intensive roles in medical administration and the restaurant industry; this intensive workforce experience allowed me to realize my true passions and create long-term goals that better honor my values. In my first professional position with Southwest Orlando Family Medicine, P.L. in 2019, I began as a supplemental front office staff member. Within six months of working this flex position, I was promoted to Patient Care Coordinator with our Managed Care Department. Throughout my time working in the restaurant industry from June 2020 to August 2022, I acquired experience in almost every restaurant position possible (host, busser, server, food runner, expeditor, line cook, prep cook, dishwasher, shipment handler, manager) in both small businesses and large corporate restaurants. From 2022 to 2024, I had the pleasure of working for Map Communications, a leader and trailblazer in the call center business. Through these five years, I've learned about the true importance of service and innovation, and the impact those two values can make on a multitude of people and communities. Now, I'm working as a Developer at Zenatta Consulting, learning new ways to benefit communities across the country through providing business solutions to clientele that positively impact their respective spaces.
