count-lines
Show the number of lines in the buffer. | Ctrl-x L |
A message showing the number of lines in the buffer appears in the
echo area. The message also gives the line number of the current line,
and the length of the file when written to disk. If there is a
highlighted region, its line count is displayed as well.
See the mode-format variable to display the current line number
continuously.
