Introducing an innovative desktop application designed to improve the customer experience in the food industry. It establishes smooth interfacing with ESP32 devices using the ESPNOW protocol, efficiently conveying 'Ready', 'Standby', and 'Preparing' commands. This communication framework streamlines the order process by eliminating unnecessary waiting times and making real-time updates readily available for customers. Furthermore, this system enhances the user experience through a unique feature that allows individuals to simply wait until their station indicates their order status. This approach minimises unnecessary motion and optimizes valuable time. In addition, the system is capable of bidirectional communication. It receives 'Need Assistance’ and 'Status Update' messages from remote devices, providing real-time updates which enhance situational awareness at the food stall, resulting in increased efficiency. Most impressively, this software also features a built-in customer assistance request function. With a simple click of a button, customers can ask for help directly from their station, adding another layer of convenience to their dining experience. However, do note that due to hardware limitations of ESP32 devices, the system can only support simultaneous connections with up to 10 peers. Rest assured this restriction is in place to ensure stable performance and smooth functionality. In essence, this application embodies several advanced features such as remote command issuing, real-time message, regulated peer connectivity, and a readily extendable customer assistance function. This comprehensive suite is set to revolutionize the food ordering process, providing a streamlined and enriched user experience. Developer Instructions: Please be aware that ESP32 devices will require specific code to function in alignment with this software.
