Governor Murphy has announced a transit fare holiday for all customers from August 26 through September 2, 2024. During this period, fares will be waived for all modes of transportation, offering free rides across the NJ TRANSIT network as a "Thank You" to the hundreds of thousands of loyal customers who depend on public transit.

NJ TRANSIT will initiate a replacement bus service plan in Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties beginning August 17th, for routes abandoned by Coach USA. The plan will provide customers of those routes with a seamless transition and no disruption in service.

Beginning Monday, August 12, the River LINE will operate weekday service every 30 minutes from all stations throughout the service day with supplemental bus services during weekday morning and peak periods at six stations.
