Zero Trust has become increasingly important for the federal government due to President Biden’s unprecedented Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity and the more recent federal Zero Trust architecture strategy from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Signed in the aftermath of multiple consequential cyber incidents, the Executive Order and OMB strategy lay out a series of actions that U.S. federal departments and agencies must take to strengthen their cyber defenses by the end of fiscal-year 2024.
