Receive referral

David injured his knee while playing soccer, and he needs to see an orthopedic specialist. His physician sends a referral to a nearby practice that uses Phreesia, so the referral is automatically tracked and digitized. Then, the orthopedic practice sends David an automated message confirming his referral—along with a link for him to self-schedule an appointment.

David clicks the link and is taken to a scheduling form. The form is customized to match David to the right appointment type, provider and location.

Complete registration

A few days before the visit, David receives a text message or email prompting him to pre-register. He confirms his demographic information, medical history and insurance coverage, then provides his e-signature for applicable consents. Upon submission, Phreesia verifies David’s eligibility and benefits and shares the information with his orthopedic provider’s administrative staff.
