Diana was about 13 years old when she started to carry a camera everywhere she went. Friends and classmates were her first subjects. Why food photography in the end? She grew up seeing her parents always marinating, canning, smoking, and salting something. They were doing it with such joy and involvement that she thought it must be something about food that makes people happy. Many years later, she can confirm it’s true. She has ben a professional food photographer for five years.

4 Questions With Diana
- Do you have a favorite cuisine/dish you love to style/photo and why?
Dumplings, perhaps because it's one of the first things I learned cooking. Growing up, I was helping my mom fold 'coltunasi', traditional Moldovan dumplings usually filled with cheese, potato, or sour cherries.
- One cookbook you couldn’t live without?
An old cookbook from the 1980’s my mom used to cook from pastries and cakes in my childhood. I couldn’t live without those memories.
- One food trend you love to hate or wish would just go away?
Unicorn everything.
- What do you listen to when you’re working?
Rhythmic music is as essential for me as flour for baking cookies. I’m much obliged to Calvin Harris, Kygo, Robin Schulz, and many more.
