Errata Fixed in Unicode 15.0.0

This page contains the definitive listing of all errata of record since the publication of The Unicode Standard, Version 14.0 and considered resolved by the release of Unicode Version 15.0. These errata are listed by date in the table below. For prior errata resolved in Unicode 14.0 and earlier, see Errata Fixed in Unicode 14.0.

2022-09-09	The character U+0616 ARABIC SMALL HIGH LIGATURE ALEF WITH LAM was misanalyzed when it was originally proposed in 2006, due to typographical errors in the source materials. It was published in Unicode Version 5.1 with a glyph that reflected that misanalysis. It is now known that the small high ligature in question is a ligature of alef and yeh barree, rather than a ligature of alef, lam, and yeh. The misanalysis has been addressed by the addition of a formal name alias of type correction for U+0616 in Unicode 15.0 with the value ARABIC SMALL LIGATURE ALEF WITH YEH BARREE. The incorrect glyph shown in the Unicode 14.0 and earlier version charts is shown on the left in the image below. It will be replaced with the glyph shown on the right in Version 15.0 of the standard.
2022-03-31	The glyph for U+A66E CYRILLIC LETTER MULTIOCULAR O is incorrect, based on a closer examination of the evidence. The current glyph in the Unicode 14.0 charts and prior versions is shown on the left in the image below. It will be replaced with a glyph on the right in a future version of the standard.
2021-11-15	The code charts for the United Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics in Unicode version 14.0 show two characters for Carrier (U+1628, U+163B) and one character for Ojibway (U+18DB) oriented incorrectly. The incorrect orientation is shown in the left hand column below, with the correct orientation shown in the right hand column. These will be corrected in a future version of the standard.
2021-11-15	The code charts for Khitan Small Script in Unicode version 14.0 show the glyphs for U+18BDE and U+18CCA as identical. However, the characters are are not duplicates. The glyph for U+18CCA will be modified in a future version of the standard. The old glyph is shown below on the left, and the new glyph is on the right.
2021-11-12	The glyph for U+10C47 OLD TURKIC LETTER ORKHON OT will be replaced in a future version of the standard with one more representative of known sources. The current glyph in the Unicode Version 14.0 charts, and in prior versions, is shown on the left in the image below. It will be replaced with a glyph similar to the one on the right:
2021-11-09	In the published code charts for Unicode Version 14.0, the UK source glyphs are missing for three characters, one each in the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension C, Extension E, and Extension F blocks. These will be corrected in a future version of the standard. The relevant UK source glyphs, in context, are shown in the three images below:
2020-05-29	The code chart for the Wancho script published in the Unicode Standard for Versions 12.0 through 13.0 used a preliminary font with a sub-optimal design for the script. That font for the Wancho script will be replaced in a future version of the standard by an updated font provided by Banwang Losu, as documented in L2/20-121. The current (old) code chart is shown here on the left, and the replacement code chart on the right. (Illustrative charts added to this notice on 2021-11-05.)
