I am so so so thrilled to be a TSMA this year & cannot wait to share all the things that made me fall in love with @utaustintx . In addition to making content here, I am on the Daily Texan Video Staff & look forward to getting even more involved on campus. Outside of school I love thrifting, Harry Styles, keeping up with politics and am currently obsessed with Kraft Original Mac and Cheese Cups.

Hi Longhorns!

My name is Ellie Garcia, and I’m currently a third-year Radio-Television-Film major and Journalism and Media minor at Moody College (@texasmoody). I was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, but I’ve been loving life in Austin since my freshman year of college.

On campus, I’ve worked with two incredible programs, Home to Texas and TEXAS LEAD. I’m also deeply involved with Texas Pearls as Recruitment Director and RGV Familia as Digital Media Chair. When I’m not working on campus projects, I’m always consuming media—whether it’s creating content or exploring new forms of storytelling. I also have a huge love for live music, and you’ll often find me at concerts (in the Live Music Capital!).

This year, I’m incredibly honored to serve as a Texas Social Media Ambassador. I’m excited to showcase all the amazing things happening at UT Austin and connect with y’all through social media! I am excited to highlight the diverse voices and experiences that make our community so special while sharing my own journey as a Longhorn. Hook ‘em!

HIII LONGHORNS! I’m Bianca Liau, a sophomore neuroscience major with a minor in entrepreneurship from Sugar Land, TX!

On campus, I’m involved in Best Buddies, HOOK’D Magazine, and I am also part of the outreach committee for the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute (@ksweliinstitute). Outside of school, you’ll find me doing pilates, prioritizing self-care, and competing in pageants. I also have a huge obsession with smoothies, especially any green or avocado smoothies! 🥑

Hey everyone! I’m Preston, a third-year Journalism student at UT Austin (@texasmoody), and I’m excited to be one of your Texas Social Media Ambassadors this year! 🤘 Born and raised in Frisco, Texas, I’ve been dreaming of being a Longhorn since I could walk.

At UT Austin, I’m in a leadership position for the organizations Phi Chi Theta and Texas Infinites—where I’ve found my second family and made some of the best friends.

When I’m not doing school work, you’ll catch me running around the city of Austin, catching the latest movies and tv, or diving into the city’s food scene. I can’t wait to start this position and share all the fun things Austin has to offer!

Hi Longhorns!

My name is Chris Kim (he/him) and I am a sophomore psychology major (@liberartsut) on a pre-med track. I am an international student, born in Korea and went to school in New Zealand. I am so excited to be one of your social media ambassadors this year, and I hope to share everything I love about this campus and community. Especially as an international student, I cannot wait to show you what it is like to live in Austin and how inclusive and supportive UT is!

On campus, I work as a research assistant at a Cognition & Communication Lab and am involved in different student organizations, such as GMMA (@gmmaustin) and Project Yellow (@projectyellowtexas). In my free time, I love discovering new restaurants, going to concerts and running! Throughout the year, I want to show you guys what it’s REALLY like to go to UT Austin, so stay tuned!
