Isotope van hassium
Voorkoms
Die chemiese element hassium (Hs), met ’n atoommassa van ongeveer 269 u, het geen stabiele isotope nie en word dus as ’n radioaktiewe element geklassifiseer. Die 12 isotope is onstabiel en het ’n relatief kort halfleeftyd (die meeste minder as ’n sekonde).
In die natuur kom geen hassium voor nie; alle isotope is sinteties in ’n laboratorium berei. Die eerste sintetiese isotoop was 265Hs, in 1984.
Die kortslewende isotoop van hassium is 264Hs, met ’n halfleeftyd van ongeveer 540 mikrosekondes. Die langslewende een is 269Hs, met ’n halfleeftyd van 9,6 sekondes.
