LOVED the folklore vibes here, and the mystery behind and witch as well as the moral debates that it brought up. The music and visuals were absolutely KILLER, too. I wish I managed to play this in time to rate it on the Spooktober jam :((

I liked it, it's perfectly spooky and kooky! Doesn't take itself too seriously either, which lends way to some pretty fun comedic parts too. Like the little bit of world-building and mystery, but the most interesting thing about this that I don't think I've seen before is how you can choose whose perspective you'll play from
REALLY liked the character designs and the expressiveness of the sprites. Even if the story was a little confusing and felt unfinished(because seriously how do you get endings other than 1 and 2??) I liked the world-building, mystery and just mostly the shenanigans and interactions between the two main characters
Eerie, I loved it! The atmosphere was great and the art is absolutely stunning and the style fits said atmosphere like a charm. I also really enjoyed the skinwalker vibes coupled with analog horror. The story also built up suspense really well and I think the horror was well executed. My main issue would be with the functionality of the game. No settings, and the UI is not intuitive at all which broke immersion a couple times trying to figure out how to leave the save file screen(the little "close" button in the corner is so god damn small and doesn't stand out in any way, poor design choice in terms of functionality imo.). Loved the analogue horror vibe, but the text was a little hard to read and would cut off a good couple times at the bottom of the screen(mostly towards the beggining of the game).
Although I'm a lil confused at the sudden ending like that with no explanation, it feels like a good choice. It leaves the entire story up for interpretation in a good way imo. Have the feeling it's a metaphor for their friend; they are the friend that they recently helped get away from a toxic friend group that was weighing them down, and letting go of their friend in the "go back" ending symbolised that. Even outside of such interpretations, the story is still cool in the way it builds up the unease masterfully. LOVED the artistic direction, as well as the choice to add movement, it's a nice addition that makes you feel like you're doing just a little more than pressing through dialogue and breaks up the monotony. I guess my sole critiques would be that I wish there were more choices to be had to make it more interactive, and that, atleast on my pc, the text looked a little low resolution(unless that's intentional!)
Really really like the simplistic artstyle and the symbolism of either a black or white background depending on the route you take. Although the story is a teensy bit predictable it is charming all the same, and perfectly eerie in the dark path. My main issue would have to be the voice acting. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good performances imo, like Alice and Julie, but some of the other characters, while certainly protraying the uniqueness of their character in their voice, they overdo it just a little imo. The overdramatic emphasis on every single word gets annoying, fast. I appreciate it takes effort to strike a good balance between not being too monotone/bland and being like this, but I felt the constructive criticism in this regard was much needed, sorry
Although I'm not entirerly clear on what's happening, the commentary of grief, particularly the denial stage with bits of anger, depression and acceptance sprinkled in is clear. I also get the feeling Viola may not have been the best person, but perhaps that was just the entity being possesive(pun intended) and manipulative. The spook factor and overall art is great, too, especially the sprites! So expressive! My only issue would be with voice acting. The lines just feel a little, bland? But also unnecesarily sly and menacing, near every single one of Viola's lines feels like it has exactly the same "evil" intonation and it gets old pretty quick. But that's not the main issue, the main issue was with audio processing. Some lines would randomly cut off without warning, in a way that was clearly not intentional(ie not partial voice acting). And for some of the branching paths dialogue from previous ones would play while text displayed route-appropriate. Probably bugs but still
Really liked it! Especially the pacing of the story and how it's not too dificult to not get game-overs while still making you feel clever for using your intuition. Love how the characters are developed as people, it makes things alot more immersive and makes you care alot for the characters. Mentioned endings already, but I just HAVE to say that there is a great variety in endings. Other than that, the visuals are absolutely outstanding!!! The light animation, especially in the intro sets the mood oh so well and really adds to the aesthetic appeal as well as the colour/stylistic choices made. Also reminded me of MLP infection AUs lol/pos

Couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get endings other than running outta money or dying to cuthulu, but I enjoyed myself alot nontheless! Loved the satrirical take on "beyond humanity" powerful mf creature assimilates to humanity plot; had myself a good few chuckles throughout. All in all a fun game!
Gave me indescribable feeling. Like, I feel something deep after playing this but, I just can't decipher it. Thank you all the same, though!
If I can say one thing, it's that I enjoyed the gimick of having to choose different name each time. It gave me the chance to explore truly being all the names I've gone through over the years, and that nice. Oh! I also liked the duality in the end of the world being what you saw it to be. That was quite poetic I think
Really good both art and story wise. The scream is very reminiscent of a machine making a horrible screeching sound as something goes wrong, and that coupled with the existenial horror that is beyond our understanding(since we don't get an in-depth explanation), which fosters whatever horrible truth the brain could infer from his few words of, assumably, pain.
I like it! There's alot of good stuff to be had about this one. For one, i was immediatelly drawn to this by the polish names, it's so rare to see polish rep in english media! That being said, I really did like the folk-lore ish feeling of the story, is it based on a legend of sorts? Its actually inspired me to seek out spooky polish urban legends as I haven't done so before. I also really liked the creative menu option presentation, especially with going full-screen and windowed
Liked it alot! I've never heard of a similar myth before, well, aside from the myth of orpheus and eurydice but that's more of a tragedy than a horror body snatcher ahaha. It's really spooky, the art is well-drawn(especially the body horror, omg. so detailed). Also really liked the fourth wall break towards the end-spooky!! That and the circular narrative implying this continues onward; always a good way to bring about dread in this myth-like stories I think. Also Also found the protagonist written really relatably and realistically, so that makes the game more immersive and therefore more scary!
Couldn't quite figure out how to get the "true" ending, but just from the various bad ends I can certainly say I enjoyed myself. The "consequences" of actions felt elaborately absurd in their horror; this is a good thing! I found it quite reminiscent of the "don't take this cat home" game, if I'm being entierly honest. Also HUGE coraline vibes! The artstyle is just adorable and simplistic when it comes to the backrounds and I find that really works for this game. My sole complain, likely lodged in my inability to figure out the true ending, is that the actual story, ie the overarching narrative is super hard to decipher
Perfectly spooky I must admit! The somewhat cliche-like introduction with "this is a warning, you could be next" is a lil corny but it does instill an immediate sense of (even if irrational) unease right from the get go. Enjoyed the twist at the end with it being an urban legened, I really didn't see that coming ahaha
And I do like how in retrospect, after said twist, you can see how the "former classmates" has deep seeded clues about their respective reveals wayyy before things got all spooky. I'm much a sucker for that type of thing, where it then just gets progressively more and more extreme
BITES YOU(/pos j) THE SET UP FROM THE BEGGINING IS ALREADY SO GOOD AND INTEREST PIQUE-ing. And the rest of the game only DELIVERS on this set up entirely. The mystery is interesting, the folklore/fae-like feels continue perfectly on from the prequel. And the addition of new characters to the Crooked Man's side(Jack and Jill)? OMG. I'm literally so invested in this world you've created
Perfectly both kooky and spooky; perfect for the halloween season. The story does indeed have that short-story folklore/legend type feel, and the use of sweets to enact the magic is certainly whimsical!
!SPOILERS FOR THE REMAINDER OF MY COMMENT!
I would wish that ending 2 wasn't so overused for so many of the choices(and ending 4, while it made sense for picking popularity, didn't exactly make sense for refusing to become and apprentice imo), since all the other choices felt like such a clever twist on your wish, and it would've been cool to see more of that. Though I am sure this was likely due to jam limitations, such an expansion on the game post-jam would've been great. But that's the only critique I have; both the art and voice acting is great, especially the growl-y tone of the wizard, it fits his character! Meanwhile, the narrator has absolutely nailed the tone of your stereotypical narrator, what can I say?/pos
Shit fucked me UP. But in a good way. Seriously, I had not anticipated this to be as deep as it was. To touch on so many themes as it did. For it to be a commentary on, among many others, knowing when to let go, the grim realities of struggles in relationships among people impacted by mental health issues, a beautiful mirror to how you treat yourself, etc etc. All in all, as ashamed as I am to admit that now, I HUGELY underestimated this, and those low expectation were quite literally blown out of the park
Dope, cool, nice. I just don't really have the words; great writing quality though. I must make you aware that you just got someone who's been struggling with lack of motivation(depressive episode) so much they've only been able to play short VNs, to read what is essentially a wall of text. Seriously, I must make you aware of that because that takes a hell of an engaging narrative to muster for me atp in my life so. Yea
I mean. Stylistically it was great and the ending was pretty cute and wholesome but. It just feels like there's something missing. The entire thing feels like a build up without a proper climax/payoff. I found myself genuinely puzzled realising that the ending shark transition(which was, REALLY cool btw/srs) was for the credits. I liked the use of your favourite fish being used by the octopus, too. And I feel like this utilises the cosmic horror of the sea really well. But yeah I am quite dissapointed with the amount of build up wih so little payoff, in my personal oppinion.
Stanley Parable looking ahh/pos
No really, aside from the very positive similarites to the stanley parable in quality, humour, writing, etc, I found myself really enjoying this and the little tweaks that made it more horror than existential/liminal. Person voicing narrator had a fantastic performance. There is definitely subtext and metaphors here though I can't quite figure them out
One of the better narrative-wise VNs I've read. It's cohesive, it's interesting, it's innovative. I've never really seen anything like it, and the title fits it so well to boot. The very SCENARIO is romantic, let alone the actual romance in the game. You utilise the contrasting themes of loneliness vs companionship, fear vs security, helplessness vs purpose SO well to create a story that just writes itself(not to say the effort put into the writing went unacknowledged ofc)
Already commented 5 month ago or so, and much of my oppinions/rating haven't changed. That doesn't mean I haven't ABSOLUTELY DEVOURED the new installment. I mean, WOW. We eating GOOD. Loved every aspect of it, all of the different routes to be taken. Though I am quite suprised that the route to continuation ends with us ACTUALLY returning home. It's certainly a suprise, I had expected things to keep getting worse but somehow this is more wholesome then I anticipated(though don't think I didn't notice the red flags in both the "thank you" and "hug him" options :p, no really, it's good to see that the game is staying true to it's yandere roots, or should I say hyphae? *wink wink nudge nudge*, it would've felt a little corny to have a complete 180 in the mood and atmosphere.). Once again eagerly awaiting further continuation to see how it all unfolds!
On my previous theories on the wider story regarding our cat, MAN did this installment leave me with mixed evidence.
On one hand, there is no many threads that contradict my theory of the magenta text mushrooms being an extension of Mycheal and a way for him to hunt-having been what I previously assumed to have been the fate of our cat! Actually, having read through the first two days again(despite my saves suprisingly remaining intact, hm!), some of Mycheal's dialogue felt like it was hinting to the HORRIFYING reveal that the meat in the cottage pie was indeed our cat's; which may still be the case with the obvious hinting that the trap the rabbit was in was set up by Mycheal, I mean, who else?
Well anyway, the dialogue of him talking directly ABOUT the mushrooms certainly seems to contradict my prior theories. That, and MAN did I giggle and kick my legs at the obvious "I consider them invasive when they get on MY property"(yes i'm cringe like that, sue me, cringe culture is dead haha). Then again, there's been alot of evidence proving that theory too, so now I'm even more curious about how all of this is going to work. Whether the mushrooms may play a more antagonistic part in Mycheal's backstory. And the box under his bed! Definitely alot of food for thought that I'm curious to see expanded in the future
INSANELY clever execution of the concept. Really, it is super admirable to see how the game manages to work across and synchronise two windows at once. I'm in genuine awe. It is super reflective of the topic at hand, and I relate to some parts, too. The sole criticism I would have is the fact that the path forward after talking to all the parts isn't all that clear in-game. I feel like there should be some sort of hint on how to progress, and not for it to rely on supplementary sources(in this case, game comments)
Man, if I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would. Just play the game. Just do it(if you can deal with the content warnings ofc). Trust me, it is a deeply personal experience that tackles a whole RANGE of themes where there is atleast one that you are bound to relate to in some aspect, probably more! I really cannot do it justice by my word alone, no matter how hard I tried. All I can say is that I would wholeheartedly reccomend it to anyone in their late teens/early adulthood, as it is really a transformative experience; it's like a coming of age story, but executed perfectly for that age demographic instead. It is so extremely cinematic in both the sheer amount of deeply emotive cutscenes and the ost that backs the game so immensely(seriously, cheers to the people behind orchestrating original music and cheers to Carrot for picking pre-existing pieces that match the game's moments so well!). Truly, one of the most memorable experience I have had with a game. What else can I say...oh! It's extremely aspec friendly! Not to spoil anything but if you're aspec I think this game would resonate with you even deeper than with me. Lot's of other representation, too, and not just the LGBTQ+ type.
Also, for Carrot specifically, since I haven't been allat descriptive in my rating, I know you've been seeing my live reactions on Tumblr so. I really couldn't rephrase anything much better than I already did there ahaha
