At least part of the Meuse water passes through Rotterdam (often called the "Maasstad" ("Meuse town"))
-
From Rotterdam this (not so big) part of the Meuse water flows on to the sea through the "Nieuwe waterweg" [3]
-
The next place this part of the Meuse water passes is Maassluis (Meuse sluice) [4], situated on the northern border of the Nieuwe waterweg
-
Also on the same border the town of Hoek van Holland [5] finds itself (on the 'edge' of waterway and sea).
-
By far the biggest part of the Meuse water however passes to the Northsea through other, more southern located parts of the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta[6]
-
Near Willemstad [7] the two largest inlets of the Northsea through which most of the Meuse water passes (the Haringvliet and the Volkerak) meet each other.
-
Hellevoetsluis [8] is situated on the northern border of the Haringvliet.
-
Stellendam [9] is situated on the southern border of the Haringvliet.
-
But there's a fourth (the most southern) sea inlet through which part of the Meuse water passes. It's called the Ooster Schelde [12] and the water gets there from the Grevelingen through the Mastgat.
