If you are unable to select/map fixed asset group in purchase requisition steps suggested in this article helps you in resolving this issue.
Pre-requisites:
Step 1: Organization-wide fixed asset identifiers
Make sure you have mapped fixed asset group at organization level.
Navigate to Procurement and Sourcing > Setup > Fixed assets > Organization-wide fixed asset identifiers.
Create one per fixed asset group > If you have multiple legal entities, map FA group to all required legal entities.
Step 2: Organization-wide fixed asset identifiers
Make sure you have configured proper business rules.
Navigate to Procurement and Sourcing > Setup > Fixed assets > Business rules for fixed asset determination.
Create one per different fixed asset group > Provide name and description > Procurement categories fast tab > Click ‘Add’ to map procurement category.
We can define capitalization threshold amount and the asset groups that is applicable at entire organization level here.
Go to Organization-wide rule > Click ‘Add threshold’ (if applicable) > Map currency and effective date > Then add Organization-wide fixed asset identifier which was created in step 1.
Note: If there is a scenario where the threshold amount for selected legal entity is higher than what we have set at organization level then add required threshold at ‘Legal entity-specific rule’ > Map fixed asset group.
Step 3: Employee existence and mapped against user.
Make sure whoever is creating a purchase requisition should exist in D365FO as an employee (Human resources > Workers >Employees or Workers)
Also, user needs to be assigned with the worker you have created in above step.
Scenario:
Create new purchase requisition, navigate to Procurement and Sourcing > Purchase requisitions > All Purchase requisitions.
Add Line > Add category which is mapped at organization-wide rule level > Provide required details > Save > Check if fixed asset group is automatically mapped based on setups we have done above.
Note: If the unit price per quantity is less than the added threshold amount, in that case added fixed asset group will not be mapped in the purchase requisition.
