I played this with a friend to see what other people are making to get inspiration for the jam, and we did sorta go a bit harsh on it, but the game's not entirely bad.
Some parts were pretty predictable, since we've played a lot of other visual novels for research this past month, but some other parts actually surprised us and spooked us. EX: the last dish of the game actually spooked me a bit, i didn't expect it to go that far. The point and click elements are also a bit lacking, but I can see how it can be used more.
The art style is pretty cute in some parts, but in other parts it's uncanny, like the tiny necks throughout the game. I don't have many issues with the art style, just practice.
I REALLY like how the story was handled. Each ending is a puzzle piece to the full story. I only had a portion of the story after my first ending, which was enough to get me hooked. I didn't know what happened to the mom, and it took me a bit to find out.
Overall, it's a solid 6.75/10. Not bad, but it could use some work.
I know it's not really perfect on some cases like you mentioned, this was my first ever time making a game with no game making experience, it was a passion project I did while I try and learn in the process. There were certain things I did have trouble putting in since this was my first ever time, and there was also things I did differently to make it unique in its own way. But I appreciate some things you like and don't like about it.
Mainly this is just a project I worked hard as my first ever time creating a game. But regardless on the small flaws it may have,I still am thankful you tried it. Still I like to say Thank you very much for trying out the game!
