Not sure if this project is still in development, but the game just crashes on startup

Is there any way to save and load at the moment? It's really fun to watch and see who gets top racer later on and being able to close the game and open it while keeping the racers you had before you closed it would honestly do wonders alone. This is still one of the coolest things I've seen on itch, though. Really fun idea!
